Judicial Activism

In 2003, the founder of Ethnomedia filed a Public Interest Litigation in the Supreme Court of Pakistan against the custom of Swara.

The documentary titled 'Swara-A bridge over troubled waters' was used as evidence and screened in the Supreme Court.

The hearings under the petition have helped in giving strong directives by the Supreme Court.
